XLR8R has revamped their site and it seems they have taken a “less is more” approach. I must say off-hand I am a bit shocked and a tad disappointed. I really liked their site the way it was. The design of the site now is pretty much just an average blog. When there are already so many music blogs out there it kind of seems like a step backwards for them. Oh well, I still love XLR8R and as long as the content is the same I will read on.

Ghostly International is one of my favorite music labels, and some of my favorite artists are on this label. So I was happy to hear they had released a cool little application for the iPhone called Ghostly Discovery. From the looks of it they have put quite a bit of time and effort into this app. It’s free, so if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch go check it out. And if you haven’t heard the artists on Ghostly I also recommend you check them out as well.
I have been a long time fan of The Tough Alliance. This is an old post, but if you head over to Modular’s Mod Blog you can download a nice little cover they did of The Zombies’ song ‘HUng Up On A Dream’. It’s nice and summer-ish and well recommended by myself.
This past weekend I DJed the 2nd Anniversary party for S.T.D. here in Shanghai. This set was recorded live at YuYinTang Saturday, June 6th.

It seems as though every album that Milosh releases there is at least one or two (if not a handful of) tracks that instantly get put into my “All Time Favorites” playlist. On the latest EP just released, called New Territory, he teamed up with a guy by the name of Paul Pfisterer and made some beautiful music. Below is my favorite track from the EP.

Some time ago, while trying to learn Ableton Live, I produced a song (if that’s what you can call it). In fact it was my first and only song I have ever produced. It’s much different than the music I DJ, and if I ever where to make music I would want it to be something like this. It takes a lot of inspiration from artists like Khonnor, Isan, Schneider TM, Apparat and all the great glitchy music masters ( if only I could do it as well as them). Anyway, I found it while rummaging through some files the other day and thought I would share.
